本次講者邀請到Dr. Wei Peng，她是美國密西根州立大學媒體與資訊學系副教授，擅長運用數位遊戲和行動應用程式進行健康宣導、教育以及社會改造。發表超過30篇SSCI論文，榮獲ICA、NCA多座頂尖論文獎。
Dr. Wei Peng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media and Information, Michigan State University. She received her Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Southern California in 2006. Her recent projects focus on using digital games and mobile apps for health promotion, health education, and social change. She has published over 30 SSCI papers and won several top paper awards from the International Communication Association and the National Communication Association. She has served as a guest editor for Games & Culture and as a member of the editorial board of Journal of Communication, Games for Health Journal, and International Journal of Gaming and Computer-Mediated Simulations.
Dr. Wei Peng 開授進階社會科學工作坊，主題為 "How to write publishable scholarly papers and systematic review"，共分為以下4個部分：
第一：何種研究容易獲得發表機會；
第二：分享撰寫英文期刊論文時的技巧和秘訣；
第三：示範論文投稿、依審查評論修改、至最終獲得接受；
第四：如何撰寫系統性文獻回顧，強化文獻寫作觀點。
This workshop consists of four parts. Part 1 will describe what types of research are likely to be published. Part 2 will discuss the techniques and tips for submitting manuscript for journal publication. Part 3 will use one of Dr. Peng’s research projects as an example to present the phases of submitting a manuscript, revising the manuscript based on reviewers’ comments, and finally getting accepted. Part 4 will briefly discuss how to write a systematic review. Although a systematic review is different from a general literature review, learning the basics of a systematic review will provide insights for writing a literature review in general.
